Indra Dance Company is a contemporary dance company with an innovative vision.

In 2010 Daniel and Anna founded the company during their studies in Barcelona. Currently the company has its base between the UK, Sweden and Spain. Through simplicity we experience and develop movement and ideas in a new perspective. 

​

“Kuptim Run” was our first choreographic piece which won awards at several festivals including: l’Estruch in Sabadell, X Certamen International de Danza Burgos&New York in Burgos, awarded as 1st honor prize in the I Certamen Coreográfico del Mar in Valencia. Awarded with a choreographic commission at the Gerard Collins Dance Company in Valencia.

We often collaborate with new artists, youth companies and a large group of diverse people which allow us to enrich and spice up our understanding of movement and expressions.

The productions have been presented nationally and internationally in Holland, Spain, The UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, India, Norway and Portugal. 

Indra Dance Company also focuses on finding new and open platforms for meetings between the audience and dance. To reach new audiences, we like to deliver workshops and cultural exchanges with artists and audiences to be able to share the methodology of the company and our work.

Our professional careers includes works with different international dance companies such as Jasmin Vardimon, Polish Dance Theatre, IT Dansa, Dantzaz, Frontier Danceland and Skånes Dansteater among others. We have also worked alongside big names of the international contemporary dance scene including Ohad Naharin, Akram Khan, Jo Strømgren, Lukas Timulak, Mavin Khoo and many many more.

During our careers, we have worked and performed in theatres and Opera Houses such as the Opera of Oslo, Opera of Warsaw, Malmö Opera or Teatro Principal in Burgos (Spain) such as Teatro Victoria Eugenia, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Kwai Tsing Theatre, among many others.

All those work experiences have been a reference and influences for Indra’s work and has allowed us to develop a movement language which is so unique.
